UPHouse
A private, invite-only home for a friend group: birthdays, a shared calendar, polls, forums, trackers, and daily games in one place.
The problem
Friend groups run on a dozen scattered chats
Plans, birthdays, and decisions for a friend group tend to live in group chats, where they scroll away. UPHouse is built as one calm home for everything a crew shares, instead of a dozen scattered chats.
Every group gets its own private space. You create a group, share an invite code, and everyone lands in the same place.
What it does
One house for the whole crew
Everything a group shares, in one app.
-
A home dashboard.
Upcoming birthdays, your next event, and who is in the crew, at a glance.
-
A shared calendar.
Create events and RSVP, so everyone knows the plan.
-
Forum and polls.
Boards, threads, and reactions for conversations that do not get lost, and polls to settle a group decision quickly.
-
Trackers.
Counters, streaks, leaderboards, and roster boards for a group’s inside stuff.
-
Daily games.
A Games hub with a fresh puzzle each day to play together, such as Daily Word, Number Hunt, and Anagram Sprint.
-
More than one crew.
A group switcher lets you belong to several groups and jump between them.
Design choices
Four choices that shaped it
-
Invite-only, by design.
There is no public feed and no strangers, only the people you add. Each group stays separate.
-
One home per crew.
Each group has its own home, and a group switcher moves between them, so crews do not blur together.
-
Reminders that stay on your device.
Birthday and event reminders are scheduled privately on the device, with no server or account needed. Birthdays can fire at 9 AM, noon, or 6 PM, and events from 30 minutes to a day ahead.
-
Something to do together.
Daily puzzles with streaks, and trackers with leaderboards, give a group something to do together each day.
